Abstract: Traditional pattern is an important symbolic language of regional culture.Moreover,it represents rich cultural connotation and unique artistic charm which is important element and theme of modern architectural decoration and design.In the context of globalization,it is important to maintain and develop the inheritance and innovation of Chinese culture.Through empirical study on cognition,form reconstitution as well as presentation of color and image of Chinese traditional patterns,this paper explores design method which can not only reflect native characteristic and national personality,but also reflect spirit of traditional culture and period feel to realize symbiotic and win-win situation of traditional patterns and modern architectural decoration and design.
