Abstract: In order to improve the bearing capacity and anti-seismic behaviour,the tubular T-joint is reinforced with collar casing pipe.The hysteretic behaviour of tubular T-joint reinforced with collar casing pipe is studied under axial cyclic load by finite element method.It is found that the enclosed area of the reinforced model is remarkably bigger than that of the un-reinforced one.Meanwhile,because the stiffness of tubular T-joint is improved by collar casing pipe,the failure position transfers from the weld toe to the chord surface near by the end edge of collar casing pipe.Additionally,the ductility ratio and the energy dissipation of the models are analyzed based on results of finite element calculation and the results show that the ductility ratio and energy dissipation of the reinforced model have been improved greatly.
