Abstract: Nowadays,religion plays a more and more important role in social and economic matters,which presents obvious mass,national and international characteristics.We have to persist on Marxist religious theory when surveying and dealing with religious matters in our country.We should,on the condition of religious freedom,look at the social functions of religion in a materialistic,dialectical and comprehensive way from aspect of historical materialism.
