Abstract: Forecast and control of the deformation caused by stratum loss in the tunnel construction is one of the important research issues in the field of tunnel engineering. In order to predict the ground settlement caused by the construction of shield tunnel, and explore the corresponding settlement control measures,by using 1:50 indoor model test and FLAC3D numerical analysis software,we set up the displacement monitoring points in longitudinal and transverse direction of model tunnel to monitor the variation of ground subsidence with excavation process. The results show that the settlement decreases with the increase of tunnel depth, and increases with the progress of tunneling;the lateral settlement is the largest at the top of the tunnel, decreasing toward both sides, the smaller the depth, the faster the convergence and the smaller the settling tank;the settlement value of longitudinal settlement decreases gradually along tunnel excavation direction. The results of the two simulations are close to each other, which can ensure the correctness of the ground subsidence caused by the shield tunnel construction.
